Heart of Vinyasa Yoga School

Thanks to our many donors, we some $500 scholarships for our Heart of Vinyasa Teacher Training!

We are prioritizing awarding scholarships to BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, folx with a disability and/or people in recovery who are committed to teaching yoga and supporting the mission of Yoga Punx PDX. 

We ask that you have consistently practiced Yoga and/or Meditation for at least a year before applying for this scholarship.

Yoga Punx PDX is committed to making yoga accessible to all people by removing the physical, societal and financial barriers to access.

We believe in a trauma-informed and harm reduction approach to yoga and meditation, as well as honoring the lineage and roots of the 8 limbs of Patanjali Yoga. 

You can apply for a scholarship by answering a few questions so we can get to know you better and learn more about why you’re interested in the Heart of Vinyasa Teacher Training. 

These scholarships are applied towards tuition of 200-hour Heart of Vinyasa Yoga Teacher School, books and a mentorship upon graduation with a Yoga Punx PDX Board Member or Teacher to help support you as you embark on this journey with us. 

There are three different ways you can apply for the scholarship:

Finalists will be invited to meet with the Yoga Punx PDX Board as part of the selection process. $500 Scholarships are available for the 2023 cohort.

Yoga Punx PDX Financial Assistance

Yoga Punx PDX, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offers financial assistance for memberships to those who otherwise would not have access to classes.

$40/Month.

Trini Foundation Scholarship for Recovery

Offered in partnership with the Trini Foundation a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the life changing practice of Ashtanga Yoga to those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.

It’s Trini’s mission to provide yoga as a tool to aid in the recovery process and help those who are suffering maintain long-term sobriety.
